Applying for Aid

Undergraduate and graduate students alike can receive financial aid, but aid processes and aid sources differ by program. Read on to get step by step guidance for on-campus undergraduates or online undergrads and graduate students.

On-Campus Undergraduate Students

Filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA庐) is key for both incoming and continuing undergraduates in on-campus programs at Rindge. Our team uses FAFSA information to design aid packages that fit your situation.

Incoming Students

Follow these steps if you鈥檙e a future student applying for admission at Franklin 国产黑料:

1. Complete the FAFSA as quickly as possible: File the FAFSA online at . Be sure to include our school code: 002575. The code ensures that we receive your FAFSA info and can start designing your aid package.
2. Review your aid package: Once we receive your FAFSA info, we鈥檒l propose an aid package that reflects your eligibility for federal, state, and university financial assistance.
3. Accept or decline your aid package: You鈥檒l receive instructions on how to accept your aid online via our CampusWeb system.

Your personalized aid package may include a mix of grants, scholarships, loans, or student employment鈥攍earn more about types of aid. If you鈥檙e a service member or veteran, find information about military education benefits.

Continuing Students

Follow these steps if you鈥檙e a current student looking to maintain your financial aid:

1. File the FAFSA by March 1 to receive aid for the next academic year: Be sure to include our school code: 002575. If you miss the March 1 deadline, you risk losing your financial aid.
2. Provide verification info if required: Some FAFSA filings are selected for a review process called verification. If you鈥檙e asked for tax info or other documentation, please respond promptly.
3. Review your aid awards: If you鈥檝e filed the FAFSA on time, you鈥檒l receive updated info about your aid awards after May 1. We鈥檒l email your Franklin 国产黑料 email address to let you know you can view your info in CampusWeb.
4. Accept or decline your aid: You can accept your aid online via CampusWeb.

If you鈥檙e making satisfactory academic progress, haven鈥檛 had a significant change in your family financial situation over the past year, and have met the March 1 FAFSA deadline, your aid package generally will reflect your previous levels of grant and scholarship support.

Online Undergraduate and Graduate Students

In addition to the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, online undergrads and graduate students in online or in-person programs need to complete a Financial Aid Application that projects anticipated enrollment.

You need to complete the financial aid process when you first enroll and prior to each new academic year. Note that the financial aid year runs July 1 to June 30. Be sure to complete applications that cover the first term for which you need aid:

• If you need aid starting with undergraduate Term 4 or Summer I or graduate Term 3 or Term 4, complete applications for the current academic year.
• If you need aid starting with undergraduate Summer II or graduate Term I, complete applications for the next academic year.

Follow these steps to apply for online undergraduate or graduate student aid:

1. Complete the FAFSA: File online at and be sure to include our school code: 002575.
2. Review your Student Aid Report (SAR): Once you file the FAFSA, you鈥檒l receive an SAR (by email if you filed online) summarizing your filing and providing basic info about eligibility for federal aid. Make sure the SAR is complete and accurate.
3. Provide verification info if required: About 30% of FAFSAs are selected for a review process called verification. If you鈥檙e asked for additional documentation, please respond promptly.
4. Review instructions and Submit a Financial Aid Application: Read over these instructions on how to submit an application for financial aid. (Students enrolled in MPA/DPT/MEPN programs do NOT need to complete this step)
5. Your online Financial Aid Application provides enrollment information that鈥攖ogether with the FAFSA鈥攍ets us prepare a personalized aid package. You complete it via our CampusWeb system.
6. Review your aid awards: Once you file the FAFSA and complete your Financial Aid Application, we鈥檒l review the information you鈥檝e provided and propose your financial aid awards. Look for an email to your Franklin 国产黑料 email address.
7. Accept or decline your aid: You can accept your aid online via CampusWeb.
8. Complete Stafford loan counseling if required: If you鈥檙e a first-time Stafford loan borrower with Franklin 国产黑料, complete an online entrance counseling session and Master Promissory Note.

If you鈥檙e eligible for financial assistance, we鈥檒l break out your aid package over the anticipated number of terms and per-term enrollment you reported on your Financial Aid Application. We鈥檒l post aid funds to your student account at the start of each term once we verify your enrollment.

Changes to enrollment reported on your Financial Aid Application may mean changes to your aid. Contact our Student Financial Services team if your enrollment changes so we can make adjustments to your plan.

Note that the financial aid year runs July 1 to June 30鈥攜ou need to complete the aid process each year to continue receiving financial aid.
